In a high-level meeting for assessing the progress of Special Technology Zones (STZs) in Pakistan, Prime Minister Imran Khan stated that some of the world’s best facilities were being provided by the government to the investors and associated stakeholders at the zones.
Khan made these remarks after being briefed by Chairman Special Technology Zones Authority (STZA) Amir Hashmi, who detailed all services and related progress made under his supervision at the zones.
While lauding relevant officials for ensuring progress at the STZs, Prime Minister Imran Khan remarked that the promotion of technology and establishing and maintaining partnerships between institutes, industries, and government divisions is a stepping stone for engaging the talented youth of the country.
He also directed government officials to make full use of international events – such as the International Expo in Dubai – for highlighting Pakistan’s Special Technology Zones globally.
Other participants of the meeting included Minister for Science and Technology, Senator Syed Shibli Faraz, Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan, Khalid Khurshid, Special Assistant, Dr. Shahbaz Gill, Minister for IT Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Atif Khan, Provincial Minister for Industries Balochistan, Haji Muhammad Khan Toor, and Provincial Minister for IT Punjab, Humayun Yasir.
