Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has directed authorities concerned to resolve the problems of farmers on priority basis under Kisan Package and also asked to constitute a committee in this regard.

Presiding over a meeting in Lahore on Saturday, the Prime Minister also directed to formulate a subsidy package on priority basis to resolve issues of prices of fertilizers and electricity with the consultation of provinces.

Shehbaz Sharif also ordered to provide subsidy package to enhance the production of the edible oil’s seeds.

The meeting decided to the issue of wheat support price during meetings of Economic Coordination Committee and in the Federal Cabinet.

Federal Minister for National Food Security Tariq Bashir Cheema, Advisor to Prime Minister Ahad Cheema and concerned government officials participated in the meeting, whereas Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb, Minister for Finance Ishaq Dar and Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah attended the meeting virtually.
