Rizwan Sheikh Praises Pakistani Diaspora’s Role in Boosting Commercial Linkages

Los Angeles: Pakistan’s Ambassador to the United States, Rizwan Saeed Sheikh, met with leading American entrepreneurs and industry experts at a high-level business luncheon held in Los Angeles. The event was hosted by a select group of innovators from California’s AgriTech, FinTech, and Entertainment industry. He was accompanied by Consul General of Pakistan in Los Angeles, Asim Ali Khan.

According to Radio Pakistan, the gathering provided a focused platform for meaningful dialogue on innovation, investment opportunities, and cross-border collaboration aligned with Pakistan’s economic transformation goals. Participants included executives from emerging technology firms, creative studios, and venture-backed agri-innovation startups operating across Southern California. Key discussions revolved around digital agriculture, financial technology, content partnerships, and regulatory cooperation for future ventures.

Ambassador Rizwan Sheikh, in his remarks, highlighted Pakistan’s rapidly growing innovation ecosystem and its commitment to welcoming U.S. investors and entrepreneurs. He emphasized that Pakistan is positioning itself as a regional hub, connecting Central Asia, the Middle East, and South Asia. With investor-friendly policies, skilled human capital, and the Special Investment Facilitation Council framework, Pakistan is ready to co-create impactful solutions with American businesses.

He also acknowledged the vital role of the Pakistani diaspora in building commercial bridges and commended California’s entrepreneurial environment for fostering global partnerships. On the occasion, other speakers expressed interest in pilot projects, joint ventures, and storytelling collaborations especially in climate-resilient agri-tech, blockchain finance, and culturally diverse digital media.
