Rawalpindi: A special interactive session was held in Rawalpindi featuring Director General Inter-Services Public Relations Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, Vice Chancellors, and senior faculty members from universities across the country. The session was part of the National Security and Strategic Leadership Workshop 2026.
According to Radio Pakistan, over 200 Vice Chancellors, Deans, Registrars, and senior teachers from universities across the country attended the session. Participants from Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Muzaffarabad, Multan, and Quetta also joined the event online. During the engagement, the DG ISPR addressed issues related to Pakistan's internal security environment, focusing on emerging strategic and security challenges.
The participants of the workshop acknowledged the role of the Armed Forces of Pakistan in safeguarding national defense, stability, and security. They noted Pakistan's success during Marka-e-Haq, attributing this to the efforts of the armed forces. They also expressed confidence in the strength of the country's defense institutions.
The session also highlighted the high regard in which the Pakistan Army is held by people in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Additionally, the session provided guidance on shielding students from fake propaganda and encouraging the dissemination of factual and responsible information.
Members of academia described the interaction as a timely initiative, emphasizing its role in enhancing awareness about national security, information warfare, and contemporary challenges facing the country.
