KP: Polling for first phase of LG elections to be held on Dec 19

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, polling for the first phase of local government elections will be held on 19th of next month.

According to the Election Commission of Pakistan, today is last day for withdrawal of nomination papers for elections in seventeen districts of the province.

The revised list of candidates will also be issued today.

The Election Commission will allot election symbols to contesting candidates and issue final list tomorrow.

The polling in the rest of the districts under the second phase will be held on 16th of January next year.

Gurdeep lauds govt for best arrangements on birth anniversary of Guru Nanak

The Senator Gurdeep Singh lauded the arrangements for the Sikh pilgrims to celebrate 552nd birth anniversary of Baba Guru Nanak.

Talking to media, he said Sikh community salute Prime Minister Imran Khan for opening Kartarpur corridor to facilitate them for the performance of their rituals.

The senator said the Sikh community has great love for the country’s soil as it is their motherland.

He said Navjot Singh Sidhu had won the hearts of Sikh community by calling Imran Khan his big brother, but on the other side Indian media portrayed him negatively.
