Balochistan Summit 2025 to Promote Investment and Industrialization

Karachi: The Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) and the Balochistan Board of Investment & Trade (BBoIT) have announced plans to jointly organize the Balochistan Summit 2025. Scheduled for January 27-28 in Islamabad, the summit aims to enhance business, investment, joint ventures, industrialization, and trade promotion activities in Balochistan on an international scale.

According to Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry, top civilian and military leaders are expected to attend the event, which seeks to position Balochistan as a leading investment destination in Pakistan. FPCCI President Atif Ikram Sheikh emphasized the need for government attention on industrialization, tax and duty waivers, and the establishment of special economic zones in Balochistan. He also called for the creation of a Bank of Balochistan to support economic activities and attract investors.

Bilal Khan Kakar, Vice Chairman of BBoIT, noted that involving FPCCI this year aims to garner support from Pakistan’s business community, as FPCCI represents 284 chambers, trade bodies, and industry associations nationwide. Saquib Fayyaz Magoon, Senior Vice President of FPCCI, advocated for the establishment of a provincial bank to facilitate business financing, similar to those in other provinces.

Nasir Khan, Vice President of FPCCI from Balochistan, highlighted the urgent need for employment opportunities and the impact on small and medium enterprises. He proposed establishing an insurance company in partnership between the public and private sectors to support a conducive business environment. Mian Zahid Hussain, Chairman of FPCCI-PAB, stressed the importance of protecting cottage and micro, small, and medium enterprises to sustain the provincial economy.

Ahmed Chinoy, a senior FPCCI member, emphasized the necessity of a marketing and public relations campaign to attract investment to Balochistan while ensuring safety and security for investors. He confirmed FPCCI’s support for government and military efforts in promoting the province’s economic potential.
