Govt making efforts for implementation of latest technology in diverse sectors: KP CM

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Mahmood Khan says the government is making efforts for implementation of latest technology in agriculture and dairy farming sectors to boost its production.

Talking to Special Assistant to Prime Minister for National Security Jamshed Iqbal Cheema in Peshawar on Wednesday, he said the provincial government has prepared the first ever food security policy to make the province independent in agriculture production.

They also agreed to expedite their collective efforts to ensure stabilization of the food security and agriculture sector.

Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Kamal khan has said that the Media plays an important role in highlighting salient features of Balochistan Provincial budget 2021-22.

He said this while chairing a high level meeting in Quetta on Wednesday regarding the media campaign on provincial budget 2021-22.

The meeting was briefed about highlighting the steps taken for the development of the province and public welfare projects in Media.

On this occasion the Chief Minister directed concerned officials to fully highlight performance and development projects started by the provincial government in electronic, print, and social media.

Govt gives special attention on poverty alleviation in budget: Murad

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah says provincial government has given special attention on poverty alleviation in the budget.

Addressing post budget press conference in Karachi on Wednesday, he said twenty percent salaries of government employees have been increased in the province and minimum wage for workers in the province have been increased to 25000 rupees from 17500.

He said an amount of two billion rupees has been earmarked for poverty alleviation programme through which business loans of two to five hundred thousand rupees will be provided to youth.

Similarly, he said an amount of three billion rupees has been earmarked for loans to small grower having 25 acres of the land whereas subsidies on seed and fertilizer will also be provided to small farmer to boost agriculture sector in the province.

He said an amount of ten billion rupees has been earmarked in the budget to support Covid affectees.

Syed Murad Ali Shah said five hundred million rupees have been earmarked for people with disabilities to compensate their families.

Five hundred million rupees have also been earmarked to compensate pregnant agriculture worker women under Benazir agriculture programme.

He said forty-one percent increase has been made in annual development programme whereas hundred percent increase has made in district annual programme with an allocation of thirty billion rupees in next budget.

Azad Jammu and Kashmir budget session adjourned sine die

Azad Jammu and Kashmir budget session has been adjourned sine die.

The AJK cabinet which met in Muzaffarabad today could not approve budget proposals.

AJK Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider informed the Legislative Assembly that the cabinet will take up some matters relating to the finance bill with the federal government.

He said after reaching a consensus, the budget for the fiscal year 2021-22 will be presented.

Members of Parliament called on Prime Minister Imran Khan in Islamabad today (Wednesday).

These parliamentarians include Special Assistant on Political Affairs Malik Amir Dogar, Senator Mohsin Aziz, Members of National Assembly; Muhammad Asim Nazeer, Aamir Liaquat Hussain, Ramesh Kumar, Haji Imtiyaz Ahmed Chaudhry and former MNA Ijaz Chaudhry.

They discussed progress on development projects in their respective constituencies and problems of their areas.

President Muslim Conference Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan discusses upcoming elections in Azad Jammu and Kashmir with Prime Minister Imran Khan in Islamabad today (Wednesday).

During the meeting Minister for Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan Affairs Ali Amin Gandapur, PTI Chief Organizer Saifullah Niazi and general secretary PTI Aamer Mahmood Kiani were also present in the meeting.

It was decided in the meeting that PTI and Muslim Conference will contest elections as per their manifestoes.

However, both parties have harmony on the issue of Kashmir and will work jointly to highlight the Kashmir dispute.
