PM appreciates donation of $30mln for earthquake-victims from a Pakistani in US

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said he is deeply moved by the example of an anonymous Pakistani who walked into Turkish embassy in the United States and donated thirty million dollars for earthquake victims in Turkiye and Syria.

In a tweet on Saturday, he said these are such glorious acts of philanthropy that enable humanity to triumph over the seemingly insurmountable odds.

Bulgarian envoy reiterates resolve to augment Pak-Bulgaria bilateral ties

Bulgaria Ambassador to Pakistan Irena Gancheva has stressed the need to diversify the trade and investment cooperation in areas of agriculture cooperation and dairy development.

She was talking to the President of the Federation of Pakistan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Irfan Iqbal Shaikh in Islamabad on Saturday.

The Ambassador also reiterated her resolve to further cement bilateral trade and diplomatic relations with Pakistan and said that such interaction would enhance people to people contact.

While stressing the need for enhancing bilateral trade and investment relations between Pakistan and Bulgaria, the President FPCCI said that the multi-billion dollars’ Pakistan China Economic Corridor Project offers investment opportunities and called the Bulgarian investors to take the benefit from it.

He highlighted various sectors for investment in Pakistan including minerals, mining, oil and gas exploration, tourism, agriculture and energy generations.

He said this would further strengthen our existing bilateral trade and diplomatic relations and the people of both countries will be mutually benefited.

Maryam Nawaz vows to steer Pakistan out of prevailing challenges

Senior Vice President and Chief Organizer of PML-N Maryam Nawaz has said no stone will be left unturned to steer the country out of all challenges.

Addressing the party’s workers in Islamabad today, she said the government led by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif is working tirelessly to clear the mess left behind by the PTI government.

She asked the people to have faith in the PML-N which, she said, has always delivered when came to power and put the country on the path of development.

She said the future of youth is linked with the PML-N which gave them the loan program, laptops and scholarships. The CPEC project also gave them job opportunties.

Marriyum Nawaz said his party is not scared of elections rather has started preparations in this regard.

Info Minister reiterates govt’s commitment to revive economy

Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb has reiterated government’s commitment to revive economy.

Addressing a news conference in Abbottabad, she said the government is focussed on national development and prosperity with ultimate objective of self-reliance.

The Information Minister said the PTI government singed agreement with IMF on tough conditions and then itself violated its provisions.

She said the present government had no option but to renegotiate the agreement for revival of the economy.

Talking about amendments in the PEMRA Act, the Information Minister said the amendments have been approved by federal cabinet and currently the Cabinet’s Legislation Committee is working on them.

She said under the amended law, no payment of government dues would be made to those media houses which fail to pay salaries to their employees.
