Festivities continue on second day of Eid-ul-Fitr

The festivities and celebrations on the second day of Eid-ul-Fitr continue as people have thronged recreational places across the country.

In twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi, people are visiting their relatives, parks and other picnic places to enjoy pleasant weather after rain reduced the temperature.

The spots like, Lake View Park, Pakistan Monument, F-9 Park, Rose and Jasmine garden, Ayub national park and other small parks received huge number of visitors all the day.

People from the twin cities and other parts of the country have also embarked upon a trip to Murree due to which traffic was stuck on some points of Murree road.

Earlier, Rawalpindi administration urged the visitors to strictly follow traffic rules to avoid traffic congestion and road mishaps. Eight hundred and sixty police officers and one hundred and fifty officials of Tourism Police have been deployed to facilitate the visitors.

PTI played havoc with national economy: Rana Sanaullah

Interior Minister Rana Sana Ullah Khan has said that the incompetent PTI government wasted precious four years of the country in addition to abandoning game changer China-Pakistan Economic Corridor related projects.

Addressing an Eid Milan party in Faisalabad, he said the PTI played havoc with the economy through most unstable and everyday changing tax policies, which plunged the country into the quagmire of inflation.

The Interior Minister said PTI only painted a rosy picture and made false promises which proved a total failure.

He said the burden of foreign loans had become unbearable only because of ill-conceived policies of the PTI.

Rana Sana Ullah said that Nawaz Sharif had served the masses and gifted landmark project of motorway. He also made Pakistan invincible through nuclear tests while, on other hand, the PTI neither conceived nor materialized any major project for welfare, progress and prosperity of the country.

General elections should be held after electoral reforms: Haideri

Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Central Secretary General, Senator Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri has said that general elections should be held after electoral reforms in the country.

Talking to media in Kalat, he said the JUI-F’s demand of free, fair and transparent elections is on record since the day one.

He said the country’s economy has been irreparably damaged by handing over the government to an incompetent party.

He said under the leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, serious steps are being taken to improve the economy.

To a query, Maulana Abdul Ghafoor Haideri said the party wants to see Maulana Fazl in the role of president but JUI-F would go with the majority’s decision in this regard.
