Campaign for registration of house servants and tenants’ data in full swing

Islamabad, April 03, 2023 (PPI-OT):According to details, following the special orders of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad Capital Police’s “Knock the Door” campaign for the registration of employees and tenants is in full swing, a police public relations officer said.

He said that, during this campaign, various teams of Islamabad capital police are going to the streets and door-to-door to ensure the registration of tenants and domestic workers as well as to inquire about the problems faced by the citizens.

In this regard, the Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) Islamabad has registered a data of 334 tenants and house servants of 315 houses from Abpara police station jurisdiction. The purpose of this campaign is to avoid any untoward incident by maintaining law and order in the federal capital Islamabad adding that the registration of tenants and domestic workers could not only keep a close watch on miscreants but also prevent the elements involved in any kind of suspicious activity.

Citizens are also requested that they can ask for the identity of a person if someone dressed in civil clothes comes to their house in order to collect the data. Unregistered employees and tenants could be involved in serious incidents like theft and robbery by impersonating as a common citizen and Islamabad Capital Police is trying to provide a safe environment to the citizens of the federal capital by using all its resources.

IG Islamabad Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan on Sunday presided over an important meeting regarding crime, reviewed performance at divisional level

Islamabad, April 03, 2023 (PPI-OT):According to the details, an important meeting was held at the Central Police Office under the chairmanship of Inspector General of Police Islamabad Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan to review the crime situation, in which CPO/DIG Operations, AIGs, SSP Operations, SSP CTD, Zonal DPOs, SDPOs and SHOs participated.

IGP Islamabad reviewed crime performance at divisional level and each officer was interrogated separately. While issuing directions to the officers, he said that all officers adopt comprehensive strategies to prevent crime in their respective areas. Safe city monitoring should be implemented at police station level to help SHOs trace any criminal elements at the earliest.

He further instructed that the SHOs should spend time in the police stations and stay there, adding that they should bring the cases to logical conclusion as soon as possible. The IG Islamabad said that a special plan should be made to eliminate serious crimes, especially street crime, and special attention should be paid to the elimination of drug trafficking, especially in educational institutions. The details of the buyers of stolen goods should be collected.

Post-mortem should be done on every dead body adding that crackdown on illegal weapons should be accelerated. He further said that more personnel are being provided in police stations adding that a special campaign against offenders should be continued and they should be brought to justice.

He emphasized that the challans of the under-investigation cases should be completed as soon as possible and submitted to their relevant courts. In the meeting, IG Islamabad heard the problems of all the SHOs and said that their problems will be solved on priority basis.

The IGP Islamabad said that all officers should improve team work, work hard and perform their duties faithfully adding that we stand with you. Senior officers should also be an example for their subordinates. In the meeting, CPO/DIG Operations Syed Shahzad Nadeem Bukhari said that the present and former SHOs should work together and to make a concrete action plan to deal with crimes adding that target former criminals and proclaimed offenders.

He said that weekly performance of each officer will be reviewed adding that officers should meet with the plaintiffs of the cases. The cleanliness of the police stations should be taken care of while the assets of all the SHOs should be disclosed, he said. Biometric attendance should be ensured in all wings of operations division and biometric machines should be installed as soon as possible. The patrolling system should be made more efficient, he maintained.

Chairman CDA Noor-ul-Amin Mengal visits Park Enclave phase 2 and 3

Islamabad, April 03, 2023 (PPI-OT):During his visit to Park Enclave, he directed to hand over possession of residential plots in phase two and three of the scheme where development had been completed. The CDA Chairman also asked the engineering wing and contractor and expedite development activity in phase four and remaining parts of phase two and three. He also inspected model apartments constructed for overseas Pakistanis at Nilore Residencia.

It may be pointed out here at the Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif had also directed the CDA management to focus on planning and developing residential schemes for the overseas Pakistanis who are one main source of sending foreign exchange to the country.

During inspection of CDA Nursery, the chairman desired participation of civil society to extend area of nursery plantation of saplings of different kinds. The focus of CDA chairman during the overall visit was to expedition and resumption of development work on stalled residential sectors in Islamabad.

On behalf of the Governor of Sindh, iftar was also organized on the ninth day of Ramadan at the governor’s house

Karachi, April 03, 2023 (PPI-OT):On behalf of Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tesuri, on the ninth day of Ramadan too, a large number of students, students of various universities, religious schools and social institutions participated in Iftar. Faculty members from IBA, Greenwich, Salim Habib and COMMECS also participated.

Those who participated in the Iftar were welcomed by the Governor of Sindh himself. Governor Sindh also met everyone who participated in Iftar individually, and also reviewed the arrangements. The Governor of Sindh appealed to the philanthropists to help generously during Ramadan and said that inflation and other problems have created difficulties for the white-clad class and rich people should come forward to reduce these difficulties. He said that I am grateful to Allah Ta’ala who gave me the opportunity to break the fast.

Governor Sindh’s participation in night cricket match in Orangi Town

The young cricketers expressed their happy surprise to the Governor of Sindh among them. The young cricketers said that his presence among us in this way proves that Kamran Khan is the public governor of Tesori. Governor Sindh also batted on the insistence of the youth. Governor Sindh said that street cricket is the hallmark of Karachi, many famous players have emerged from it.

Special participation of the Consul General of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries in holding iftar at the Governor’s house

Karachi, April 03, 2023 (PPI-OT):The Consul General of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, including the Consuls of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman and the United Arab Emirates, took special part in organizing Iftar in honour of the children at the Governor’s House on behalf of Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tesori. Generals were involved.

Later, the Consul Generals met the children and their parents as well. Governor Sindh thanked the Consul Generals for participating in the Iftar. Governor Sindh said that Pakistan has very close relations with Gulf Cooperation Council countries, all GCC countries have generously helped Pakistan in every difficult hour. The Governor of Sindh said that the help of these countries on the occasions of natural calamities in the province of Sindh is also commendable.

The Consul Generals appreciated the efforts of the Governor of Sindh for public Iftar and said that the arrangements made by the method were very impressive, adding that the Governor of Sindh is receiving the prayers of the needy during Ramadan.

Caretaker CM Mohsin Naqvi Chaired a Meeting to Review Steps Being Taken for Jail Reforms

Lahore, April 03, 2023 (PPI-OT):Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi presided over a special meeting at CM Office in which steps being taken for jail reforms and provision of basic facilities to the prisoners were reviewed. On the direction of Mohsin Naqvi an agreement has been finalised between the Prisons department and PKLI for the treatment of prisoners suffering from kidney and liver ailments.

Mohsin Naqvi directed to prepare Tower Type latest design of jails and new jails will be equipped with the latest facilities and security gadgets. On the special direction of Mohsin Naqvi it has been principally decided to undertake further TEVTA courses for the prisoners in 10 jails.

On the direction of Mohsin Naqvi the conversation duration of prisoners with their family members has been increased from 20 minutes to 35 minutes. It was reviewed during the meeting to formulate a mechanism of international calling facility for the foreign prisoners.

The punishment of prisoners will be remitted or will be given relief on completing religious education, technical education and a degree. Mohsin Naqvi directed that permission for participation of a prisoner in the death of a near relative should be ensured. The proposal to establish IT Centres in prisons so as to enlighten the prisoners with the latest technology was reviewed during the meeting. Mohsin Naqvi asserted that no compromise should be made on the diet and its quality for the prisoners.

It was informed during the briefing that a quality wool will be provided for carpeting in the prisons.20 thousand prisoners have completed their TEVTA training courses across Punjab prisons. The prisoners are given samosas and pakoras to break their fasts during Ramadan.6320 prisoners are compelled to remain in jails due to pendency of their appeals and it was agreed to approach the respective courts for early dispensation of pending appeals.

Chief Secretary, Additional Chief Secretary (Home), Secretary Primary and Secondary Health Care, Inspector General of Prisons, Executive Director Punjab Institute of Mental Health Lahore and concerned officials attended the meeting.
