Commendation certificates awarded to Eagle Squad officials

Islamabad, April 07, 2023 (PPI-OT): DPO City Zone Farooq Ahmed Butter has awarded certificates of appreciation and cash prizes among the eagle squad officials, who have taken effective action against criminals, a police public relations officer said.

He said that, following the special directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Dr Akbar Nasir Khan, a ceremony was held at SSP Operations office to award certificates of appreciation among the officials of eagle squad for capturing criminals and recovering arms and ammunition from their possession.

On the occasion, DPO City said that our first duty is to ensure the safety of Islamabad and its citizens and we will not hesitate to lay down our lives in this regard. He said that the officials who perform well should be rewarded. We are the public servants, so every official should perform his duties with good intentions and passion.

He further said that the officials who will show good performance in future will be encouraged as well. The safety of lives and property of citizens is our prime responsibility and no laxity will be tolerated in this regard.

Former jailbird gang held; 07 snatched motorbikes and valuables recovered

Islamabad, April 07, 2023 (PPI-OT): Islamabad Capital Police Shahzad Town police team arrested four wanted members of a criminal gang involved in snatching activities and recovered 07 snatched motorbikes, spar parts, cash, mobile phone, motorbike and arm ammunition from their possession, a police public relations officer said.

He said that, following the special directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Islamabad capital police has intensified crackdown against the criminal elements in order to eliminate the crime from the city.

Following these directions, a Shahzad Town police station team used technical and human resources and succeeded in apprehending four members of former jailbird gang involved in looting bykea riders. The accused were identified as Muhammad Saif Ali, Akeel Khan, Khalid and Saddam Zafar.

Police team also recovered 07 snatched motorbikes, spare parts, cash, mobile phone, and arm ammunition from their possession. During the initial investigation, the arrested accused has revealed that they booked a bike from the areas of Shahzad Town, Koral and Banigala and took it to deserted places and looted it at gunpoint. Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused and further investigation is underway.

CPO /DIG Operations Islamabad Syed Shehzad Nadeem Bukhari directed all senior officials for effective crackdown against the accused involved in heinous crimes. “Safety and security of the citizens is our foremost priority and no laxity will be tolerated in this regard” he added.

Islamabad Capital Police to take strict action against route violators

Islamabad, April 07, 2023 (PPI-OT): Islamabad Capital Police (ICTP) has decided to take stern action against public service vehicles involved in non-completion of routes, misbehavior with passengers and overloading.

“Strict action will be taken against those transporters violating traffic routes. The purpose is to provide better traffic facilities to the citizens,” said Chief Traffic Officer Islamabad Dr. Syed Mustafa Tanweer on Thursday while reviewing a special report submitted by the Special Squads constituted for checking of route completion.

According to details ICTP is utilizing all resources to facilitate the general public and not only issuing traffic violation tickets to the PSVs for overcharging, misbehavior of driver/conductor and incompletion of route but also cancelling the driving license of the PSVs drivers who found repeatedly involved in same violation.

He said that action against such violators would be made more effective and progress of squads would be reviewed on a regular basis.

Following directions of IGP Islamabad Dr. Nasir Akbar Khan, the Chief Traffic Officer said that special squads have already been constituted to check the route violation and ICTP Help Line (051-9261992, 93 or 1915 was established to resolve the public grievance well in time where every citizen can complain on the helpline round the clock.

He said that the citizens can lodge their complaint regarding non-completion of routes, misbehavior with passengers or other traffic related issues at this ICTP helpline. Effective action against such violators in future and directed all Zonal DSPs to accelerate action in this regard.

10313 fine tickets issued for not fastening seat belt and 8848 for using mobile phones during driving

Islamabad, April 07, 2023 (PPI-OT): Islamabad Capital Police intensified crackdown against the traffic rules violators and issued 10313 fine tickets to road users for not fastening seat belts and 8848 for using mobile phones while driving during the ongoing year, a police public relations officer said.

He said that, following the special directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan a special campaign is underway to check violations while various squads headed by Chief Traffic Officer Islamabad are performing duties at main roads and boulevards of the city and taking stern action against the violators.

A campaign is underway to ensure a disciplined traffic system in the city and citizens are also requested to follow the traffic rules in order to maintain a disciplined traffic system in the city.

Islamabad capital police personnel have been directed to ensure implementation on traffic rules and regulation irrespective of status and rank and demonstrate patience and politeness while issuing traffic violation tickets to the road users.

The Islamabad capital police is also ensuring strict legal action against other traffic rules violators as well. The force issues traffic violation tickets not as a punitive measure but the purpose is to ensure a safe road environment in the capital and secure the lives of the people.

On the direction of IG Punjab, the process of departmental promotions of the police force continued, 64 more officials were promoted to the next posts

Lahore, April 07, 2023 (PPI-OT): On the direction of IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar, the process of departmental promotions of the police force is going on and, in this regard, 64 personnel from Constable to ASI rank in Tele and Communication and Motor Transport Wing have been sanctioned for promotion to the next posts. DIG Telecom and Communication Imran Ahmar, SSP Tele, Asad Sarfraz and SSP Motor Transport Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera presided over the meeting of Departmental Promotion Committee, in which 34 officers and officials of Telecommunication and 30 officers and personnel of Motor Transport Wing were approved for promotion to the next posts.

According to the details, 8 ASIs of telecommunication were promoted to sub-inspectors, 10 head constables were promoted to ASI and 16 constables were promoted to the post of head constables. Similarly, 4 ASIs of Motor Transport Wing were promoted to rank of Sub Inspectors and 26 head Constables were promoted to ranks of ASIs.

DIG Tele and Communication Imran Ahmar said that on the direction of IG Punjab, the process of departmental promotions on vacant posts in Tele and Communication and Motor Transport Wing is going on and more personnel will be promoted in the next meeting. SSP Motor Transport Hassan Mushtaq Sukhera said that the promotion in the rank of Sub-Inspector and ASI has been approved in the Motor Transport Wing, while the promotion committee session will also be held soon for promotions at the constable level.

He further said that according to the vision of IG Punjab, every officer and employee eligible for promotion will get his departmental right without delay and in this regard the ACRs of the officials are being completed along with other documents so that in a promotion board meeting, The official’s case could not be delayed due to ACR.

Administrator Karachi Dr. Syed Saif-ur-Rahman has instructed the concerned heads of departments of KMC to immediately make arrangements for the auction of various licenses

Karachi, April 07, 2023 (PPI-OT): Administrator Karachi Dr. Syed Saif-ur-Rahman has instructed the concerned heads of departments of KMC to immediately make arrangements for the auction of various licenses so that recovery could be enhanced.

Administrator Karachi has expressed dissatisfaction over the revenue collection of various departments of and has directed them to take steps to increase the revenue through auctioning of various KMC licenses.

He said that all concerned departments should ensure the implementation of the directive given in this regard and give it top priority. He said that the availability of revenue is important for any institution, it is necessary to speed up the recovery process in order to provide better municipal services to the citizens.

He said concerned departments should ensure better utilization of existing resources for increasing revenue and the revenue collection staff should be instructed that release of various license should be done without delay.

In this regard, the auction process should be carried out in a transparent and efficient manner, the directive issued by the Administrator Karachi in this regard has been sent by the Municipal Commissioner of KMC to all departmental heads with instruction of immediate.

Indian govt playing with lives of Kashmiri political detainees: Masarat Alam

Srinagar, April 07, 2023 (PPI-OT): Illegally detained All Parties Hurriyat Conference Chairman Masarat Alam Butt has said that the Indian government is playing with the lives of the Kashmiri political detainees and they are being tortured even in the holy month of Ramadan. Masarat Alam Butt in his message from the infamous Tihar Jail in New Delhi deplored that India was targeting the citizens and detainees of Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir in various ways.

He said that a few months ago the Indian government had changed the security arrangements of the prisoners in Indian jails due to which the prisoners are living in an extremely dangerous environment. The situation has become very dangerous even on the occasion of visiting the courts, a prisoner can be targeted anywhere, he added. The APHC Chairman said in recent days, the known prisoner of Bandipora, Talib Lali, was distributing sehri when the local miscreants threw hot oil on him, which burned his body and face. There is a possibility of more such attacks, he lamented

Masarat Alam Butt said three of Talib Lali cases are pending in the local court of Bandipora district, but he is not presented there, adding similarly, other prisoners have not been shifted to the jails of Jammu and Kashmir and are not produced in courts. He said, in New Delhi’s infamous Tihar jail, Kashmiri detainees are kept with criminal prisoners and ordinary Delhi Police take them to court, where they are attacked by evil Hindus. He appealed to the international human rights organizations to take immediate notice of the plight of the Kashmiri political detainees languishing in different jails of India and the territory.
