Rawalpindi, April 09, 2023 (PPI-OT):On 08 April 2023, fire exchange took place between own troops and terrorists in general area Razmak, North Waziristan District. Own troops effectively engaged the terrorist’s location. Resultantly, 1 x terrorist was sent to hell. Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from the killed terrorist.

In another fierce encounter between own troops and terrorists in general area Karama, South Waziristan District own troops effectively engaged the terrorists’ location, killing 1 x terrorist.

However, during intense exchange of fire, Naik Fazal Janan (age 32 years, resident of District Hangu) having fought gallantly, embraced shahadat.

Sanitization of the area is being carried out to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area.

Pakistan’s Security Forces are determined to eliminate the menace of terrorism and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve.

Rawalpindi, April 09, 2023 (PPI-OT):From 7 Apr 23 onwards, an Intelligence Based sanitization Operation has been initiated to intercept a group of Terrorists operating in general area Mach, West of Sibi. The Terrorists are linked with targeting of civilians in the area besides harassment of coal mine owners to extort money from them.

Based on credible information, multiple ambushes have been laid along different routes in the area frequented by Terrorists for last two days. Resultantly, a party of 3x Terrorists has been intercepted while moving towards their hideout. On being blocked, they opened fire onto the Security Forces.

During ensuing exchange of fire, two terrorists were sent to hell while another has been apprehended; a cache of arms and ammunition has also been recovered.

The clearance operation in the area continues to nab their remaining accomplices. Pakistan Army, in step with the Nation, remains determined to thwart attempts at sabotaging peace, stability and progress of Balochistan.

Golden jubilee celebrations of the constitution of Pakistan 1973 to begin on April 10

Islamabad, April 09, 2023 (PPI-OT):Parliament of Pakistan is all set to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Constitution of Pakistan 1973, a landmark document that laid the foundation of a democratic and progressive society in the country. The month-long celebrations will commence on April 10, 2023, with a series of events to commemorate the founding principles of democracy, justice, and equality enshrined in the Constitution.

The Speaker of the National Assembly Raja Pervez Ashraf will inaugurate the celebrations by laying the foundation stone of the Constitution Monument at the site approved by the Advisory Committee, opposite Parliamentary Lodges, D-Chowk, Islamabad.

The monument will serve as a permanent reminder of the importance of the Constitution in the nation’s history. The Speaker and Members of the Advisory Committee will hold a press conference following the stone laying ceremony.

This will be followed by a wreath-laying ceremony at the Memorial of the Unsung Heroes of Democracy in the Parliament House, paying homage to those who fought for democracy and constitutionalism in Pakistan.

The Speaker will also inaugurate an exhibition showcasing pictures of the Constitution’s framers, inspect a commemorative stamp, and then head to the second floor of the Parliament to inspect the original Constitution and other manuscripts.

The celebrations will culminate in the National Constitution Convention in the main assembly hall, attended by parliamentarians and people from all walks of life. The Convention will be chaired by the Speaker.

Prime Minister Mian Shehbaz Sharif, Chairman Advisory Committee Senator Mian Raza Rabbani, and other attendees will pay tribute to the framers of the Constitution and reflect on how it has served as a cornerstone of democracy, justice, and equality in Pakistan.

The session will also pass a number of resolutions related to the Constitution’s recognition as a binding document, its incorporation into the national curriculum, homage to the Constitution’s framers, and declaring the State Bank building (old National Assembly Hall) as a National Monument.

The celebrations will be followed by a joint session of the parliament, scheduled for 2 pm, which will continue the discussions and reflections on the importance of the Constitution in shaping the destiny of Pakistan.

The Golden Jubilee Celebrations of the Constitution of Pakistan 1973 promises to be a landmark event in Pakistan’s history, celebrating the ideals and principles that define the country’s democratic and progressive identity.

NA Speaker and deputy speaker felicitates Christian community on the eve of Easter

Islamabad, April 09, 2023 (PPI-OT):Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervez Ashraf and Deputy Speaker Zahid Akram Durrani have extended warm felicitations to the Christian Members of the Parliament and the Christian community on the auspicious occasion of Easter.

The Speaker said that Jesus Christ (Peace Be Upon Him) was ordained by Almighty Allah to preach love, peace, tolerance and brotherhood. He inculcated spiritual values among his followers to work for the Divine pleasure. His eternal message of love for humanity and for members of all communities and fraternities still holds strength to ensure harmony and peace in today’s world. He said that in the day of turbulence in the country, we should forge unity to counter the nefarious designs of the enemies.

Speaker said that the rights and privileges enjoyed by all minorities in Pakistan must be fully safeguarded by the government according to the Constitution of Pakistan and guiding principles of the Father of the Nation, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. He also extended his appreciation to the Christian community for their deep sense of patriotism and dedicated services for the progress and prosperity of the country. Their unmatched contribution in the process of nation building, especially in the field of health and education was a glowing chapter of our national history, he added.

Deputy Speaker National Assembly Zahid Akram Durrani has also extended greetings on his fellow Christian colleagues on the auspicious occasion of Easter. He said that Islam gives equal rights to the minority community and teaches them to be moderate. He said that constitution of Pakistan grant minorities equal participation in all walks of life. NA Speaker and deputy speaker congratulates nation on golden jubilee of 1973 constitution

Islamabad, April 09, 2023 (PPI-OT):Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervez Ashraf and Deputy Speaker Zahid Akram Durrani have said that the Constitution of Pakistan guarantees the provision of fundamental rights to all citizens. They said that for strengthening democracy in the country, the supremacy of the constitution must be ensured. They expressed these views in their congratulatory messages on the occasion of the golden jubilee of the 1973 constitution.

The Speaker said that this day reminds the historic occasion when 50 years ago, when our forefathers unanimously adopted the 1973 Constitution. This was the result of tremendous efforts and wisdom of shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto, which brought all political parties to one platform to sign this historic document. He said that the entire nation pays tribute to the framers and signatories of the 1973 Constitution.

The speaker said that for strengthening democracy in the country, it is imperative to follow the 1973 Constitution in its true spirit. He said that the Constitution was sabotaged which created chaos in the country. Speaker stressed upon all political parties to shun their differences and unite at this one document as our forefathers did 50 years ago.

On this occasion, Deputy Speaker Zahid Akram Durrani said that today is a historic day when all the political parties came together and passed the constitutional document unanimously. He said that in order to lead the country on the path of progress and prosperity, all political parties have to shun their differences and unite at one platform.

No white paper can cover up incompetence of PTI’s four-year rule: Marriyum

Islamabad, April 09, 2023 (PPI-OT):Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb says no white paper can cover up the incompetence of PTI’s four years rule that unleashed record unemployment and poverty in the country. In a statement slamming PTI Chief Imran Khan for issuing white paper on Sunday, against the performance of coalition government, she said the coalition government has saved the country from the disaster PTI had pushed it into.

She lamented how the person responsible for taking the country to the brink of bankruptcy, is issuing white paper against those who saved it from bankruptcy.

Marriyum Aurangzeb said there is no mention in the so-called white paper, of budget deficits, historic debts, unemployment and terrorism that witnessed a surge during PTI’s four years. She said the coalition government has paid back eleven billion dollars debts so far taken by PTI government.
