Security Forces have killed the mastermind of recent bombings in Qila Saifullah and Pishin.

According to ISPR, security forces conducted an intelligence based operation in Qilla Saifullah District of Balochistan on reported presence of a high profile terrorist.

During the conduct of operation, after intense fire exchange Abdul Shakoor Nauman Abu Hamza Khurasani of Daesh was sent to hell.

The killed terrorist was the mastermind of recent bombings in Qila Saifullah and Pishin on Wednesday and was highly wanted by the law enforcement agencies.

He also planned to conduct high profile suicide bombing attacks in Balochistan, which have been successfully averted due to timely and prompt action by security forces and the intelligence agencies.

Security Forces of Pakistan, in step with Nation, remain determined to thwart attempts of sabotaging peace, stability and progress of Balochistan.

Three terrorists were killed in an operation of Police in Drazinda area of Dera Ismail Khan district on Saturday.

According to the Police, additional SHO Din Muhammad embraced martyrdom in exchange of fire with terrorists.

Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar has said that all countries of the region want peace, security and stability in Afghanistan.

In an exclusive interview with TOLO news, he said the recognition of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan needs regional consensus.

He said that until the countries of the region and the world recognize the current government of Afghanistan, Pakistan would not take a step forward in that regard.

The Prime Minister said the Durand Line is an internationally recognized border between Afghanistan and Pakistan and it is approved by the UN and 206 countries.

He said the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan has shelter in some provinces of Afghanistan and that issue had caused insecurity in Pakistan.

Anwar-ul-Haq Kaka said that no nation would be permitted to utilize Pakistan’s airspace against Afghanistan.

The PML-N has emerged as the largest party with seventy one seats in the National Assembly elections.

According to the unofficial results announced by the Election Commission of Pakistan for 253 out of 265 seats, PPP has bagged fifty four seats followed by MQM 17 seats, Pakistan Muslim League and JUI (P) three seats each and two seats by Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party. One seat each was won by Majlis-e-Wahdat-e-Muslimeen Pakistan, Balochistan National Party and PML-Z. Independents have secured 100 seats.

In the Sindh Assembly, Pakistan Peoples Party has emerged as the largest party with 84 seats, followed by MQM-Pakistan twenty-eight, Grand Democratic Alliance and Jamaat-e-Islami two each. Independents won fourteen seats in the provincial assembly.

In Punjab Assembly, the PML-N has secured one hundred and thirty seven seats, PPP ten, Pakistan Muslim League eight, Istehkam e Pakistan Party, PML-Z and TLP one each while one hundred and thirty seven independents also remained successful. Result of one seat is sti
ll awaited.

In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly election, out of 112 seats, ninety independents emerged victorious. JUI (P) bagged seven, PML-N five, PPP four, Jamaat-e-Islami three, PTI Parliamentarians two and Awami National Party one. One result has been withheld.

In Balochistan Assembly, Pakistan Peoples Party Parliamentarians lead the tally with eleven seats, followed by PML-N and JUI (P) with nine seats each. Balochistan Awami Party secured four, National Party three and Awami National Party two seats. Independents also remained successful on six seats. Balochistan National Party, Balochistan National Party (Awami) and Haq Do Tehreek Balochistan each secured one seat. Results for three seats of the Balochistan Assembly are still awaited.

Results of general elections held for the National Assembly and the four provincial assemblies continue to pour in from across the country.

The Election Commission of Pakistan has so far received 250 results of the National Assembly seats while results of 15 seats are yet to be received.

Of these unofficial and provisional results, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz won 71 seats, Pakistan Peoples’ Party Parliamentarians 52, Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan 17, Pakistan Muslim League 3, Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Pakistan and Istehkam e Pakistan party 2 each, Pashtunkhwa National Awami Party Pakistan, Pakistan Muslim League-Z and Majlis-e-Wahdat-ul-Muslimeen Pakistan 1 each. 99 independents also emerged victorious on national assembly seats.

So far result of the Punjab Assembly is concerned, results for 295 seats have been received while on 1 seat is still awaited.

Of these, PML-N secured 130 seats, PPPP 10, Pakistan Muslim League 8, Istehkam e Pakistan party, PML-Z and TLP 1 each while 127 independent candidates ha
ve emerged victorious.

The commission announced result of all 130 constituencies of the Sindh Assembly of which PPPP won 84, MQM-Pakistan 28, Grand Democratic Alliance and Jamaat-e-Islami 2 seats each while 14 independent candidates emerged victorious.

The results of 112 constituencies of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly have been received and result of 1 seat is still awaited.

Of these, PML-N got 5, JUI-P 7, Jamaat-e-Islami 3 and PPPP 4 seats, ANP 1 and PTI-P secured 2 seats. Independent candidates stood victorious on 90 seats.

So far result of 45 Balochistan Assembly seats has been received while result of 6 is awaited.

Of these, PML-N remained successful on 9 seats, PPPP on 11 and JUI-P on 8 seats. Awami National Party and National Party emerged victorious on 2 seats each, Balochistan Awami Party got 4, Balochistan National Party, Balochistan National Party (Awami) and Jamaat e Islami won 1 seat each. Six seats were won by independent candidates.

Pakistan and European Union have agreed to enhance cooperation in plant and animal health sectors.

The understanding reached at a meeting between Ambassador of Pakistan to Belgium Amna Baloch and Deputy Director General European Union Sante Claire Bury.

According to her post on X, they discussed issues related to food safety and regulatory standards.

Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar has directed all the ministries to evolve a strategy within five days for setting up development projects having a capacity for international investment.

He gave these directions, while chairing a review meeting about the progress on investment agreements with friendly states, especially the Gulf Cooperation Countries, in Islamabad.

The Prime Minister instructed all the ministries to present strategies about the viable projects for international investment before the Special Investment Facilitation Council at the earliest.

The Prime Minister was apprised about the recent progress on Pakistan’s international agreements in various sectors, including energy, finance, logistics, food security, water, and minerals.

Caretaker Minister for Information and Broadcasting Murtaza Solangi says majority of election results has been received and the remaining will be released in a couple of hours.

In an exclusive interview with News and Current Affairs Channel of Radio Pakistan, he said a little delay in election results occurred due to late delivery of results by Presiding Officers to Returning Officers and then onward to Election Commission of Pakistan owing to communication and transportation issues.

The Minister said Election Commission of Pakistan is bound to publish official and final results within three days. He said media can take information about results from Form 45 available at polling stations.

He said 128 million voters exercised their right to franchise and there was a large voter turnout in the elections. The Minister expressed hope that the next government would tackle the economic and other challenges facing the country.

Replying to a question, Murtaza Solangi said when ECP will send official results to s
ecretariats of assemblies concerned, the outgoing speakers will convene respective session of assemblies in fourteen days time. It is hoped that first session of national assembly and all four provincial assemblies will be convened by the end of this moth or earlier next month, after which the process to form next governments will start.
