Army carries out rescue operation on KKH by to shift stranded people

Pakistan Army has successfully carried out a rescue operation on Karakoram highway by shifting the stranded people to safer places.

According to details, about ninety five vehicles, including buses, vans, and cars, carrying around 1055 passengers, got stranded on Karakoram highway due to landslides and rockfalls. All vehicles and passengers have safely been rescued.

Pakistan Army is conducting aerial surveillance in the affected areas through 300 drones to deal with untoward situation.

Pakistan to witness new era of public service: Maryam

The Chief Organizer of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz Maryam Nawaz Sharif says the country will witness a new journey of public service with renewed passion and sincerity.

During the parliamentary party meeting in Lahore today, she expressed gratitude to the people, who have entrusted PML-N with a mandate of service.

She emphasized that all constituencies of Members elect of Punjab Assembly will be treated as her own constituency.

Maryam Nawaz highlighted that health, education, infrastructure, law and order, and agriculture sectors will be equally treated.

Maryam Nawaz pledged to follow the guidance, experience, and vision for developing Punjab under the leadership of Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and the President of PML-N, Shehbaz Sharif.

PML-N Punjab parliamentary party meeting to be held in Lahore today

A meeting of the parliamentary party of Pakistan Muslim League-N Punjab will be held in Lahore today.

Senior Vice President of the party and nominated Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz will address the meeting.

It is expected that the strategy regarding the first session of the Provincial Assembly and the election of Speaker and Deputy Speaker will be decided in the meeting.

Kuwait expresses desire to enhance ties with Punjab Govt in diverse fields

Ambassador of Kuwait to Pakistan Nassar Abdulrahman J. Almutairi expressed desire to further promote cooperation with Punjab in livestock and other sectors.

He expressed these views during a meeting with Caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi in Lahore today.

Speaking on this occasion, Mohsin Naqvi urged the Kuwaiti investors to take advantage of investment opportunities in Punjab and vowed to provide them with all possible facilities.

Caretaker Sindh CM inaugurates tree plantation campaign

Caretaker Sindh Chief Minister Maqbool Baqar inaugurated a tree plantation campaign by planting saplings in Karachi today.

On the occasion, he said that every citizen should play his role in improving the environment by planting a tree by participating in the Urban Forest scheme.

The Caretaker Chief Minister said the planting of trees will improve the environment in the province.

He was informed that the Provincial Forest Department had planted 147400 plants in Karachi.

Int’l Mother Language Day observed across the globe

International Mother Language Day was observed in Pakistan like elsewhere in the world.

To mark the day, different programmes were organized in the federal capital, highlighting importance of the regional languages of Pakistan.

A walk was arranged from Sheed-e-Millat Secretariat to the National Press Club Islamabad. People from all walks of life, including academia, civil society, and media, participated in the walk.

Speaking on the occasion, the participants called for the usage of mother languages in educational curriculum, parliament, media, and the judiciary.

They said Pakistan is a culturally diverse country and every culture needs to be protected and promoted at the state level.

The day is aimed at promoting linguistic and cultural diversity as well as to protect and promote mother languages.
