Balochistan govt installing water filtration plants in far flung areas of province

Spokesperson of Balochistan government Liaquat Shahwani has said that the provincial government is taking long-term emergency measures to ensure provision of safe drinking water for the citizens including installation of water filtration plants and constructing new dams.

Talking to a private news channel, he said that the welfare of citizen is the foremost priority of the government.

He said his government has been installing number of water filtration plants in far flung areas to ensure potable drinking water to people living in remote areas.

Provincial government will complete all ongoing dam projects to improve ground water level for reducing the water problems that stretch throughout the province, he assured.

He said work on the Bolan Dam and Naulong Dam will start soon and plans are also under way to set up a hydro-power plant to generate electricity from the dam.

KP govt allocates Rs23bn for Sehat Sahulat card program Director Health Card Program

The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has allocated twenty-three billion rupees for the Sehat Sahulat card program in the province.

In an exclusive interview with Radio Pakistan Peshawar correspondent, the Director Health Card Program Dr. Riaz Tanoli said the entire population of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are getting free medical treatment in all major diseases.

He said so far the government has provided free treatment to four-hundred and eighty thousand patients.

Information group under training officers visit Radio Pakistan

A batch of under-training officers of 48 Common and 38 Specialized Training Program at Information Service Academy Islamabad visited National Broadcasting House Islamabad on Tuesday.

Director General Radio Pakistan Muhammad Asim Khichi briefed the visiting probationary officers about the working of different departments of Radio Pakistan.

The Director General said Radio Pakistan is the most powerful medium having unmatched public outreach across the country. He said Radio Pakistan has been playing an effective role in highlighting the government’s initiatives and projecting the state narrative on Kashmir, Afghanistan and other international issues.

Director News and Current Affairs Abdul Rauf Khan, Director Administration Intisar Ahmed and Director Program Khalida Nuzhat were also present on the occasion.

Later, the probationary officers visited different sections of Radio Pakistan.
