Govt taking steps to promote better education in province: Yasinzai

Balochistan Governor Amanullah Yasinzai has said the government is taking all possible measures to promote better education in the province.

Chairing a meeting of the university senate in Loralai, he said solution to all problems of the society lies in the educational uplift particularly higher education.

He urged the students to focus their full attention on studies in order to meet the growing challenges.

The governor also inaugurated the newly completed administration block and hostels for boys and girls in the university campus.

Provision of basic facilities to public govt’s top priority: Sarwar

Punjab Governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar has said provision of basic facilities including health and education to public is among top priorities of the government.

Addressing a ceremony in Lahore, he said the government is bringing reforms in institutions and making them interference free as political interference ruin institutions.

He said Insaf Sehat Card is a revolutionary program and every citizen of Punjab will get Insaf Card during current year.

Punjab Chief Minister’s Adviser for Tourism Asif Mehmood has said Tourism Department and Parks & Horticulture Authority will work together for beautification of historical Shalamar Bagh.

Chairing a meeting in Lahore, he said historical Shalamar Bagh is attracting tourists since centuries and maintaining its beauty is the need of hour.

He said under Chief Minister’s policy, Shalamar Bagh is being protected.

Masood vows to render every kind of sacrifice for freedom of Kashmir

Azad Jammu and Kashmir President Sardar Masood Khan has reaffirmed the commitment to render every kind of sacrifice for freedom of Kashmir.

Addressing a book launching ceremony in Islamabad on Thursday, he said India is attempting to change the demographic structure of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir to convert the majority of the Kashmiris into minority in order to materialize its sordid designs.

The President Azad Jammu and Kashmir said India is playing a horrific game in the IIOJ&K under the Hindutva ideology. He said India has been perpetrating gross human rights violations in IIOJ&K and subjecting the innocent Kashmiris to the worst kind of violence.

Sardar Masood Khan said Pakistan has always been steadfast with regard to the Kashmir conflict.

Federal Govt pays largest ever net hydel profit arrears of Rs25b to KP

The federal government has paid the largest ever net hydel profit arrears of twenty-five billion rupees to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government.

According to details, this is first of two installments promised by federal government under outstanding amount of net hydel profits.

Meanwhile, in a tweet today, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Finance Minister Taimur Saleem Jhagra termed it proof of commitment of Prime Minister Imran Khan and Chief Minister Mahmood Khan to a fairer Pakistan to resolve the issue of the province.

CM Sindh approves taking over 4192 non formal schools run by Federal govt

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, as per decision taken in 42th Council of Common Interest, has approved taking over 4192 non formal schools run by federal government.

Presiding over a meeting in Karachi on Thursday, he also decided to enhance the salaries of teachers from eight thousand rupees to twenty five thousand rupees.

Sindh Chief Minister also directed education department to take over the schools immediately and make the schools functional with the same teaching staff.

PM reviews progress on development of Ravi City, Central Business District

Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday chaired a meeting to review progress on development of Ravi City and Central Business District being established in Lahore.

Successful bidders of Sapphire Bay project of the Ravi City were also present in the meeting.

Meanwhile, the Prime Minister also chaired a meeting of National Coordination Committee on Housing, Construction and Development.
