Disgruntled members of PTI contacting Govt to return to the party: Asad

Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar says the disgruntled members of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf are contacting the government to return to the party.

Talking to a private news channel, he said the vote sellers should be disqualified for life.

Asad Umar said the government will hold historical political gathering at D-Chowk in Islamabad on 27th of this month.

Anti-Pakistan social media accounts running malicious campaign against Pak Army: Fawad

Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain says some anti-Pakistan social media accounts have launched a malicious campaign against Pakistan Army by changing their display with Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s logo.

In a tweet, he said these accounts were earlier used to run campaign in favor of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and also targeted Pakistan Army.

The Information Minister said there would be no differences between Prime Minister Imran Khan and the Pakistan Army as the Prime Minister believes that the institution guarantees safety and security of the country.

President approves to file reference in SC for interpretation of Article 63-A of constitution

President Arif Alvi has approved to file a reference in the Supreme Court for interpretation of Article 63-A of the constitution.

The approval has been given by the President under Article 186 of the constitution.

On the advice of the Prime Minister, the President has sought opinion of the apex court regarding the aims and objectives of Article 63 (A), its scope and other related matters.

The reference is being filed following reports of deviation of some members of the parliament and current situation of the country.
