‘Interior Ministry sets up command, control room to monitor law & order situation’

Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed says Interior Ministry has set up a command and control room to monitor law and order situation in the federal capital till 4th of next month.

Talking to media in Islamabad on Sunday, he said any untoward situation can be reported on the 0519206660 and 0519218594.

The Minister said the command and control room will be operated round the clock to facilitate citizens. He also announced that no road will be closed during this whole situation.

He urged the JUI-F rally participants not to take any step for the closure of Sri Nagar Highway otherwise government will take strict legal action following the directives of country’s apex court.

Commenting on the overall political situation, he said today’s PTI rally would be historic public gathering. He expressed hope that Prime Minister Imran Khan will defeat opposition’s any move against PTI’s government.

Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said opposition’s immature actions have reinforced Prime Minister Imran Khan’s popularity graph.

PM will not bow before foes of country: Pervaiz Khattak

Defence Minister Pervaiz Khattak has said Prime Minister Imran Khan is determined to take the country forward and will not bow before the foes of the country.

Addressing a public gathering in Islamabad on Sunday, he said Imran Khan will not give NRO to those, who plundered wealth of the country. He said the time has come when the people of Pakistan will have to stand with Imran Khan against turncoats.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister for Maritime Affairs Ali Zaidi said the opposition has tabled no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan for saying ‘Absolutely Not.’ He said Prime Minister Imran Khan always keeps Pakistan’s interests supreme.

Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said Prime Minister Imran Khan will not give NRO to the looters at any cost. He said massive participation of the masses in today’s public rally shows that the people have trust in the leadership of Imran Khan.

He said the nation has awakened and it will support the good and oppose the evil.

Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain said PTI has no interest in conspiracies as it has strong belief in people.

He said nation is standing by Prime Minister Imran Khan for his promised revolution in the country.

Chaudhary Fawad Hussain said turncoats will have to face the wrath of the people for their betrayal with Imran Khan.

Minister for Federal Education, Professional Training Shafqat Mahmood said the entire nation is standing behind Imran Khan, rejecting evil practices of horse-trading by the opposition parties.

Minister for Inter-Provincial Coordination and leader of the Grand Democratic Alliance Dr Fehmida Mirza said GDA supported Imran Khan and joined the government on principles.

Condemning the horse-trading, she said this is lethal for the democracy. She said we are supporting Imran Khan for the sake of Pakistan. She urged the media to expose the bad governance of PPP in Sindh, which has increased sufferings of the people of the province.

Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister Khalid Khurshid Khan said Imran Khan will successfully sail through the no-confidence test and the gang of thieves to face defeat in the National Assembly.

Minister of State for Climate Change Zartaj Gul said women will continue supporting Imran Khan for pursuing an independent policy, highlighting Kashmir dispute and the issue of Islamophobia at the international forums.

Azad Kashmir Prime Minister Abdul Qayyum Niazi said Imran Khan became the ambassador of Kashmiris. He said Kashmiris have great trust in Imran Khan and fully support him.

Planning Minister Asad Umar said Imran Khan is fighting the war of Pakistan, where people of the country can take their decisions independently.

He said we want good relations with everyone and can be partner in peace, but we are not ready for becoming slaves. He said Imran Khan has successfully raised Ummah’s voice against the Islamophobia.

Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmed said the opposition is a gang of thieves and looters and they will not succeed in undermining Prime Minister Imran Khan in his quest to take the country forward.

A large number of PTI workers, including women, participated in the mammoth public rally entitled Amr Bil Maroof, which was held at the Parade Ground in Islamabad.

Pakistan wants to promote peace, stability and friendly neighborhood: FO

Foreign Office Spokesperson Asim Iftikhar has said Pakistan wants to promote peace, stability and friendly neighbourhood, and development without becoming part of any bloc.

Addressing news briefing in Islamabad on Thursday afternoon, he said Pakistan invited China as a special guest to the recently concluded 48th Session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation as Beijing wants to promote cooperation with the OIC countries.

He said China has a lot to bring to the table to further enhance its cooperation with the Islamic countries and with that spirit we invited Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi as a special guest to participate in the OIC CFM conference.

Giving an overview of the outcomes of the OIC Council of Foreign Ministers’ meeting that concluded in Islamabad, Asim Iftikhar said it is a landmark event in Pakistan’s diplomacy and in the context of Islamabad’s leading role in the Islamic world.

He said 140 resolutions on the entire range of political, security, humanitarian, economic, social, legal and financial issues, Muslim minorities, Islamophobia, arms control, terrorism, COVID-19 response, illicit financial flows and corruption, mediation, and OIC reforms were adopted.

The Spokesperson said that 20 resolutions were either sponsored or co-sponsored by Pakistan.

Pakistan attaches special importance to multidimensional relations with EU: FM

European Union Ambassador in Pakistan Androulla Kaminara called on Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi in Islamabad on Sunday.

During the meeting matters pertaining to mutual interest were discussed.

Speaking on the occasion, the Foreign Minister said Pakistan attaches special importance to multidimensional relations with European Union.

He said Pakistan is committed to implement the joint ventures of the next phase of the strategic partnership of European Union.
