UN envoy urges int’l support for Libya

The United Nations has called for international support to help Libya overcome its crisis.

 

In a tweet, Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Libya Abdoulaye Bathily also urged all Libyan parties to find ways to overcome their differences and restore stability in the country through a democratic political process.

Indian troops martyred 77 Kashmiris during last six months: Report

In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian troops in their unabated acts of state terrorism martyred 77 innocent Kashmiris from July to December last year.

This was stated in a report released by Kashmir Media Service in collaboration with All Parties Hurriyat Conference Azad Jammu and Kashmir AJK chapter.

It said that during the period, more than 300 youth were arrested and dozens of people injured by Indian troops and police during cordon and search operations in the occupied territory.

Narendra Modi was directly responsible for violence in Gujarat: Jack Straw

Former Britain’s foreign secretary Jack Straw has confirmed that High Commissioner in India sent a report to the Foreign Office in London which said Narendra Modi is directly responsible for the killings in Gujarat in 2002.

In an interview, Jack Straw said British High Commission report revealed Narendra Modi met senior police officers on the 27th of February 2002 and ordered them not to intervene in the rioting.

Jack Straw has also confirmed that the report he received said the killings in Gujarat “has all the hallmarks of ethnic cleansing”.

IIOJK: Indian troops intensify frisking, checking ahead of India’s Republic Day

In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Indian troops have intensified checking and frisking in Srinagar city and other parts of the territory in the name of so-called security measures ahead of India’s Republic Day, on Thursday the 26th January.

Indian troops and police personnel have been deployed in strength to keep a watch on the movement of people.
