Sindh Governor approves Registration ordinance 2024

Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori today approved Registration ordinance 2024 to be enforced with immediate effect.

According to spokesperson of Governor House, under the ordinance people would submit applications or documents for registration of properties to the board of revenue online for verification.

After the verification of the documents the applicant would be informed about the last date of payment of fees of the tax through SMS or email.

Gender desk established in Karachi to resolve complaints

A gender desk has been established at the office of the provincial election commissioner in Karachi to address complaints regarding general elections.

According to spokesperson of provincial Election Commission, complaints can be lodged on phone number 021-99205338 and 021-99202624.

ECP takes notice of blasts in Quetta, Turbat and Jaffarabad

The Election Commission of Pakistan, while taking notice of the blasts in Quetta, Turbat and Jaffarabad, has sought immediate report from Chief Secretary and Inspector General of Police Balochistan in this regard.

The Chief Election Commissioner, while taking notice of the aerial firing in election campaign of a political party in Sukkur, has sought immediate report from the Chief Secretary and Inspector General Sindh.

The Chief Election Commissioner also directed the IG Sindh Police to take action against those involved in the incident as per law of the land.

Punjab Cabinet approves funds to purchase 32,000 cameras for election monitoring

Punjab Cabinet has approved funds to purchase 32,000 cameras for election monitoring as per directions of Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).

The approval was given during the Cabinet meeting held in Lahore today under the chairmanship of Caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi.

The cabinet gave approval to transfer land for construction of smart police stations in various districts of Punjab.

The meeting also approved a new grant formula for Trust Hospitals under the Health Facilitation Programme and also approved amendments in Punjab Drugs Rules 2007.

Probationary officers of CTP visit Radio Pakistan, Islamabad

A batch of probationary officers of the 51st Common Training Program (CTP), along with faculty members, visited the National Broadcasting House in Islamabad.

Director General of Radio Pakistan, Saeed Ahmad Sheikh, gave a detailed briefing to the visiting officers about the working of different departments of Radio Pakistan, including News and Current Affairs, Programs, and Engineering.

The Director General provided a comprehensive historical context on the role played by the National Broadcaster during wars and natural calamities. He emphasized its involvement in educational programs, raising awareness about crucial economic aspects such as agriculture, and promoting national harmony and integration through a set of diversified programs.

Saeed Ahmad Sheikh apprised the delegation of strides made by the national broadcast to align itself with the latest technology and modern trends in the field of broadcasting.

The delegation was informed that Radio Pakistan is utilizing audio, video, and written formats
to reach a wider audience, both educated and uneducated. Through its app, the national broadcaster is targeting the audience beyond the country’s borders, the DG said adding the technological integration has allowed Radio Pakistan to reach a broader and more diverse audience, catering to different interests and age groups.

Director News and Current Affairs Aman Ullah Sipra, Director Program Riffat Qayoum, Director Finance Inam ul Haq and Director Engineering Muhammad Aqil Khan who were also present on the occasion, also responded to the queries of the delegation

The visiting officers participated in a program of FM-101 and recognized the pivotal role played by Radio Pakistan over the years in educating, raising awareness and entertaining the people. They were amazed at the innovation and technology adopted by the national broadcaster including the web streaming of channels such as sports, environment, religion, health, and kids, while keeping the old traditions intact.

The probationary officers visited dif
ferent sections of Radio Pakistan and took a keen interest in their working.
