Mir Sarfraz Bugti elected as Balochistan CM unopposed

The session of Balochistan Provincial Assembly was held in Quetta today with the speaker Abdul Khaliq Achakzai in the chair.

During the session Mir Sarfraz Bugti was elected unopposed as the Leader of the House. He 41 votes during the process of counting of votes.

Addressing the House newly elected Chief Minister, Sarfraz Bugti said all available resources would be utilized for progress and prosperity of the province.

He said steps would be taken to ensure good governance in the province and jobs would be provided to youth on merit basis.

CM Punjab felicitates Baloch people on Baloch Culture Day

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has felicitated Baloch brothers and sisters on Baloch Culture Day.

In a message, she said that Balochistan is a beautiful land of beautiful people. She said that like other cultures of Pakistan, Baloch culture also has rich traditions of love and patriotism.

She said that the development of Balochistan is actually the development of Pakistan.

Ali Amin Gandapur sworn in as KP CM

The Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur was sworn in at Peshawar today.

Governor Haji Ghulam Ali administered the oath to him.

Ali Amin Gandapur was elected as member of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly from PK-113 Dera Ismail Khan in general elections last month.

He was elected as Leader of the House on Friday.

NHA working with Army’s engineers, local rescue officials to restore blocked roads

National Highway Authority has released details regarding national highways affected by rain and flood across the country.

According to the spokesperson of NHA, Quetta-Chaman (N-25) is open for all kinds of traffic. Qila Saifullah- Loralai (N-70), Lakhpas-Nushki-Nokundi (N-40) and Quetta-Sibi-Jacobabad (N-65) have also been declared clear for traffic.

Similarly, Karachi-Khuzdar-Quetta (N-25) and Gwadar-Khuzdar-Wanghol (M-8) highways while Coastal Highway (N-10) have also been declared clear.

The NHA further announced in the press release that Highways from Karachi to Gwadar are open for all kinds of traffic.

The NHA is working with Army Engineers and local rescue officials to restore the blocked roads.

It hoped that all roads would be opened for traffic very soon.

The NHA urged the people to exercise caution while travelling. People, especially tourists, have been instructed to avoid traveling to mountainous areas where there is a risk of landslides.

Mir Sarfraz Bugti takes oath as Balochistan CM

Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti was sworn in at Quetta today.

Governor Balochistan Abdul Wali Khan Kakar administered oath to him.

Mir Sarfraz Bugti was elected unopposed and by securing 41 votes in provincial assembly.

Chairman PPP Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also attended the ceremony.
