Pakistan Day celebrated with traditional fervor across Balochistan

Pakistan Day was celebrated with traditional fervor and national spirit across Balochistan like elsewhere in the country.

Flag hoisting ceremonies were held in Turbat, Makran, Kharan, Taftan and Dasht where special prayers were offered for progress and prosperity of the country.

Sacrifices of the martyrs and national leaders for the motherland were remembered in these ceremonies.

Special programs for students of educational institutes and youth were organized where they presented traditional songs, speeches and tableaus.

The students of Girls Cadet College Turbat visited the FC headquarters where they witnessed a display of weapons and offered Fateha for the martyrs.

In Panjgur, general public and FC Balochistan (South) Panjgur Rifles jointly organized a program to mark the day and took out a car rally.

Dalbandin Rifles organized a flag hoisting ceremony in the city which was followed by a joint rally of FC and local people. A cricket tournament was also organized by FC for children.

Pakistan Army organized several events to celebrate Pakistan Day across North and South Waziristan.

The celebrations started with flag hoisting ceremonies in different areas including Miran Shah, Shivah, Spinwam, Shawal, Razmak and Kharqamar.

Participants of the ceremonies paid glowing tributes to the tireless efforts of the country’s founding fathers and sacrifices of the martyrs.

They vowed passionately to play their role in the development and prosperity of the country.

They eulogized the role of Pak Army in making the defence of the motherland impregnable.

Students and youth presented songs, flag march and speeches in which they highlighted the history and significance of Pakistan Day.

Anti-polio campaign starts in eleven districts of Balochistan tomorrow

Anti-polio vaccination campaign starts from tomorrow in eleven districts of Balochistan.

According to officials, the campaign aims to reach the children in Chaman, Dera Bugti, Hub, Lasbela, Nasirabad, Sibi, Jaffarabad, Kech, Khuzdar, Usta Muhammad, and Sobhatpur.

About 8,89656 children will be vaccinated during the campaign.

USAID reaffirms support for developments in Sindh

U.S. Agency for International Development’s Mission Director for Pakistan, Kate Somvongsiri, has expressed longstanding commitment to improving lives and achieving shared development goals in Sindh.

She reaffirmed this commitment during a meeting with Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah in Karachi to reaffirm USAID’s partnership and support for development initiatives in province.

USAID Mission Director said that under the U.S.-Pakistan ‘Green Alliance’ framework, USAID continues to collaborate with Pakistan to address climate, environmental, and economic challenges, ensuring a sustainable future for generations.

Punjab CM directs to start campaign to stop kite flying across province

Chief Minister of Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif has expressed displeasure over the successive incidents of kite flying despite the ban and directed to start a campaign to stop kite flying across the province.

In a statement in Lahore, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has directed to take strict action against those who violate the ban on kite flying.

The Chief Minister also sought a report from the IG Punjab on the incident of the death of a young man due to kite flying in Faisalabad.

Corps Commander Karachi Lieutenant General Babar Iftikhar arrived at the residence of Lieutenant Colonel Syed Kashif Ali Shaheed and offered fateha for the departed soul.

Babar Iftikhar met the family of martyr and paid tribute to the bravery of Shaheed Syed Kashif Ali. He said Syed Kashif Ali’s sacrifice for the defense of motherland will be written in golden letters.

The Pakistan Railways will run four special trains to facilitate passengers on Eid-ul-Fitr.

Pakistan Railways runs special Eid trains every year to facilitate passengers heading to or coming from Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, Rawalpindi and Quetta.

A majority of those working in other cities, travel to hometowns before Eid and return to workplaces after holidays through these special trains.
