Pak Army organizes Teachers Seminar in North Waziristan

A Teachers Seminar titled “Elm Toolo Da Para” was organized by Pakistan Army at Tehsil Miran Shah of North Waziristan district.

The aim of arranging seminar was to shed light on the importance of teachers and their role in transforming the lives of students.

General Officer Commanding of Pakistan Army in North Waziristan, Major General Anjum Riaz also addressed the seminar.

The speakers appreciated Pakistan Army for its efforts in imparting education and providing training to male and female students of the merged areas in different educational fields.

The teachers and students also thanked Pakistan Army for its key role in promotion of education in their area.

Pak Army, FC Balochistan establish Rest Area in Nushki for Zaireen

Pakistan Army in collaboration with Frontier Corps Balochistan established Rest Area in Nushki for Zaireen.

According to details, over two hundred eighty Zaireen were provided facilities at the Rest Area including cooked food and fourteen buses.

Free medical facilities including medicines were also provided to more than sixty pilgrims in the Rest Area.

People of the area and Zaireen lauded Pakistan Army and FC Balochistan for the provision of these facilities.

PPP emerges as largest party in Senate by-elections

Pakistan People’s Party has emerged as largest party in the Senate by-elections held at National Assembly, Sindh Assembly and Balochistan Assembly today securing four seats out of six.

Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani regained the Senate seat from the federal capital securing 204 votes.

Sunni Ittehad Council’s candidate Chaudhary Ilyas Mehrban got 88 votes.

From Sindh, Pakistan People’s Party candidates won two General Seats of the Senate.

Jam Saifullah acquired 58 votes while Mohammad Aslam Abro got 57 votes.

In Balochistan Provincial Assembly Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo of Pakistan People’s Party , Mir Dustain Domki of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and Abdul Shakoor Khan of JUI-F successful.

CM Punjab felicitates people on Punjab Culture Day

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has felicitated the people of the province on Punjab Culture Day, being celebrated today.

In a message, she said the Punjab is the land of sufis, scholars, and kind-hearted people.

She said Punjabi is a sweet language and Punjabi poetry beautifully expresses human emotions.

She thanked the people of Punjab for honouring the daughter of the Nation with the distinction of being the first female Chief Minister of Punjab.

Provision of best health facilities to people priority of incumbent govt: Maryam

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif says the provision of the best health facilities to people is a priority of the incumbent government.

She was chairing a meeting in Lahore today to review suggestions and recommendations on the re-launching of the Health Insurance Programme.

During the meeting, Maryam Nawaz Sharif gave approval for a working group to make the health card more effective.

She also sought a feasible plan for the launching of the Health Card within 3 months.

CM Maryam directs to ensure high standard of quality in road infrastructure projects

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has directed the concerned authorities to ensure quality during road construction, repair, and maintenance projects.

Presiding over the meeting in Lahore, Chief Minister directed to start the construction of five Express highway projects with public-private partnership mode.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif set a deadline of six months for the construction and repair of major communication roads of Punjab.

All out measures to be taken to improve quality of education: CM Punjab

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz says all-out measures will be taken to improve and standardize education in public schools of the province.

While chairing a meeting in Lahore today, she directed to restart the morning assembly in public schools in Punjab.

She also sought a comprehensive plan for shifting public schools to solar energy. The meeting also reviewed the suggestion to start afternoon classes and evening coaching centers in public schools. The meeting also approved re-establishment of the School Education Council and the restructuring of the Punjab Curriculum Wing.

Govt committed for close working with bar councils: Nazir Tarar

Minister for Law and Justice Azam Nazir Tarar has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to working closely with the bar councils to achieve mutual objectives.

He said this while talking to a delegation comprising lawyers from various bar councils which called on him in Islamabad.

The Minister emphasized the importance of collective efforts in addressing the challenges faced by the legal community.

The delegation expressed optimism for future collaborations aiming at the betterment of the legal fraternity.
