Hitachi Energy to appoint Andreas Schierenbeck as new Chief Executive Officer, Claudio Facchin to step down on June 30, 2024

Zurich, March 07, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Hitachi Energy today announced that Andreas Schierenbeck will be appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer, effective July 1, 2024. Claudio Facchin, Hitachi Energy CEO, will step down at the end of June 2024. Andreas will engage with the Hitachi Energy Board, Executive Team and Claudio to ensure a smooth transition prior to the handover on July 1, 2024.

Andreas joins Hitachi Energy from HH2E, a new green-hydrogen production company, where he is currently co-founder and board member. He previously worked as CEO of Uniper from 2019 to 2021, where he launched the company’s decarbonization strategy. Prior to that he was the CEO of thyssenkrupp Elevator, where he led the transformation of the company into a global leader leveraging digital technology from 2013 to 2018. Between 1992 and 2012, Andreas held various management positions within Siemens, including President and CEO of Siemens Building Technologies in the US between 2010 and 2012 and Senior Vice President in the Siemens electric utility sector in Switzerland. He holds a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the TU Dresden and an Advanced Management Certificate from Harvard University in the US. Andreas is a German citizen.

Zelcer brings over 20 years of experience in analytics and insights, business advisory and organizational design, AI and data science, and cloud and marketing technologies. She was most recently the Global Head of Analytics and Technology at Merkle, where she led a global division of over 5,600 practitioners across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC. In her new role at dentsu, Zelcer will be responsible to innovate the vision, roadmap, development and commercial impact of dentsu’s data and tech strategy across our three core practice areas: Media, CXM and Creative, working closer with Practice leads and Jean Lin, Global President – Global Practices, dentsu. FC Balochistan (North) continuing operation against smuggling

FC Balochistan (North) and other relevant departments are continuing operation against smuggling in different areas of Balochistan.

214 metric tons of sugar, 54 metric tons of betel nuts, 700 kilogram of drugs, 699,000 liters of Iranian diesel, and other items including china salt, tyres, cigarettes, and non-customs-paid vehicles were seized over the last one month.

These operations were carried out in Pishin, Mastung, Zhob, Nushki, Chaman, Dera Allah Yar and Pak-Afghan border areas. All the items were handed over to the customs authorities.

Sindh CM announces over Rs22b for Ramzan package

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has announced over twenty-two billion rupees for Ramzan package to provide relief to the people of the province during the month of Ramzan.

Chairing a meeting on price control in Karachi this morning, he also accorded approval of providing an amount of five thousand rupees cash to the sixty percent population of the province with minimum wage.

The cash amount will be provided to 3.5 million households with a minimum wage of thirty two thousand rupees per month.

Addressing the meeting the Chief Minister directed a crackdown against hoarders and profiteers in the province.

Syed Murad Ali Shah directed district administration to ensure implementation of government fixed rates of commodities of daily use.

Sindh CM, Iranian Ambassador discuss bilateral ties

Iranian Ambassador Reza Amiri Moghadam called on Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah in Karachi on Thursday.

During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations and further improving the trade and transport between two countries.

Connecting railway lines from Karachi to Zahdan through Gwadar were also discussed.

Syed Murad Ali Shah invited Iranian investors for investment in low cost housing schemes, agriculture and other sectors in the province.

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz chaired a high-level meeting in Lahore to review the higher education scholarships and iPad scheme.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister expressed displeasure at the incomplete briefing and sought a comprehensive plan for the PEEF Scholarships scheme.

Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif ordered a student survey for iPad, laptop schemes across the province.

She vowed to develop higher education and other institutions on modern lines.
