Speakers reaffirm Pakistan’s abiding support for legitimate cause of Palestinians

Speakers at an event in Islamabad have emphasized Pakistan’s abiding support for the legitimate cause of the Palestinian people and a just solution through the establishment of an independent, viable, sovereign and contiguous Palestinian State.

The discussion was organized by the Institute of Strategic Studies in Islamabad to express solidarity with the people of Palestine on the ‘Global Day of Action for Gaza.’

Sohail Mahmood, Director General ISSI, underscored Pakistan’s stance for an immediate and unconditional ceasefire.

Amina Khan, Director of the Centre for Afghanistan, Middle East and Africa at the Institute, stated that Pakistan will continue to stand firmly with the people of Palestine until the legitimate rights of the people are achieved.

Nader al Turk, Deputy Head of the Palestine Mission in Pakistan, highlighted the dire conditions faced by Palestinian civilians, especially children and women, in the Gaza Strip.

He referred to the ongoing situation as genocide and also said that Palestinian
s are resilient and determined to uphold their rights until justice is served.

Five soldiers martyred, three terrorists killed in Balochistan encounter

Three terrorists were killed by security forces at Buleda area of Kech District in Balochistan.

According to Inter Services Public Relations, terrorists exploded an Improvised Explosive Device on security forces’ vehicle, which was followed by an intense fire exchange.

Security forces immediately responded and effectively engaged the terrorists’ location.

However, during the operation, five soldiers including Sepoy Tipu Razzaq, Sepoy Sunny Shaukat, Sepoy Shafi Ullah, Lance Naik Tariq Ali and Sepoy Muhammad Tariq Khan fought gallantly and embraced Shahadat.

Sanitization operation is being carried out to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area.

In a statement, ISPR said security forces of Pakistan in step with the nation, remain determined to thwart attempts of sabotaging peace, stability and progress of Balochistan and such sacrifices of our brave soldiers further strengthen our resolve.

Caretaker Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Ali Mardan Khan Domki has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the
martyrdom of five soldiers at Buleda in District Kech.

In a statement today, he said sacrifices rendered by Security Forces for ensuring peace will not go in vain.

He said the entire nation stands with brave armed forces.

He also expressed sympathy with bereaved families and prayed for the departed souls.

PPP believes in politics of serving masses: Bilawal

Chairman of the Pakistan People’s Party, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, has said that his party believes in politics of serving the masses.

Addressing a public gathering in Dera Murad Jamali today, he mentioned that once in power, his party would introduce the Kisan Card to support small farmers, and the Youth Card would also be launched to provide financial assistance to the youth.

Inquiry underway against police entry into residence of Chairman PTI in Islamabad

An inquiry is being conducted against incident of police entry into the residence of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan in Islamabad.

According to a spokesperson of the Islamabad Police, a strict action will be taken against the officials if found guilty of violating the law.

He said the local police, on a tip of an informer, reached at a house in F-7/2 sector of the Federal Capital last night in search of an absconder. After finding out that the said house belongs to Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, the police immediately returned.

The Spokesman further said Barrister Gohar Ali lodged a complaint to the Supreme Court about arrival of police at his house.

On this, the Chief Justice Supreme Court of Pakistan summoned Inspector General (IG) of Islamabad Police Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan and ordered to probe matter.

He said the Court also directed the IG Islamabad to personally take up the complaint of Chairman PTI.

The spokesperson said the IG assured the PTI Chairman that disciplinary action
will be taken if any police officer is found guilty. The IG also immediately suspended five police officers including SHO Margalla Police Station.

Efforts afoot to provide basic facilities to journalists: Solangi

Caretaker Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Murtaza Solangi says incumbent government is making all-out efforts to provide basic facilities to the journalist community.

Addressing the cheque distribution ceremony in Lahore today, he said that journalists are a vital part of society and press clubs are the pillars of press freedom.

He informed that the caretaker Punjab Chief Minister has approved a hefty grant of 90.45 million rupees for press clubs, thanking caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi for taking measures for the welfare of the journalist community.

Speaking on the occasion, the Caretaker Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi said that providing facilities to journalists is top priority of the government.

He urged the journalist community to work professionally.

Caretaker Punjab Minister for Information Aamir Mir said that through special grants, press clubs will be modernized.

Pakistan dispatches 4th consignment of relief goods for Gaza

Fourth consignment from people of Pakistan consisting of 20 tons of medical and food items reached Jordan.

The NDMA, in a post on social media platform X, further said that the Pakistan’s Ambassador to Jordan and the Jordanian Chief of Air Staff received the flight for further distribution to the affected people of Gaza.

First batch of Pakistani dried chilies arrives in China

The first batch of Pakistan’s high-quality dried chilies, have reached Neijiang city of Sichuan Province in China.

Addressing the ceremony for the arrival and warehousing of the dried chili under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor Agricultural Cooperation Project in Beijing, Pakistan’s Ambassador to China Khalil Hashmi said this significant shipment marks a new chapter in the trade relations between the two countries and is expected to pave the way for increased economic cooperation.
