BISP imparts training to 7,000 deserving beneficiaries

Benazir Income Support Programme has so far provided training to more than 7,000 deserving beneficiaries under its Digital and Financial Literacy initiative.

According to official sources, the training covered a range of topics including awareness of rights and responsibilities, identification of currency notes, utilization of mobile accounts, saving strategies, investment knowledge and awareness about various types of financial fraud.

The purpose of the training is to empower women in the field of financial management skills.

Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Haji Ghulam Ali inaugurated the official website of the Governor Secretariat in Peshawar today.

At the official website, www.governorkp.gov.pk, people will be able to reach out to the secretariat for information on daily official matters of the Governor secretariat.

The university employees will also be able to file online appeal against administrative affairs.

Making Pakistan climate resilient country PPP’s top agenda: Bilawal

CM Punjab, Election Commissioner discuss election-related matters

Provincial Election Commissioner of Punjab, Ijaz Anwar Chohan, met the Caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab, Mohsin Naqvi, in Lahore today.

The discussion primarily focused on matters related to the upcoming general elections, including the necessary arrangements.

During the meeting, the caretaker Chief Minister assured that the Punjab government is committed to extending full support to ensure the conduct of peaceful elections. He emphasized the importance of collaboration and coordination to facilitate a smooth electoral process.

PM Kakar reiterates commitment to ensure free, fair elections on 8th Feb

Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar has reiterated that government is committed to hold general elections in a free and fair manner on 8th of next month.

In an interview with a private television channel, he said the candidates are canvassing and all the rumours would fall to rest by the evening of the 8 February.

Regarding the usual complaints of rigging before or after the elections, the Prime Minister said that learning lessons from the past, the parliament needs to address all the flaws regarding the laws.

He said the observers would monitor and local and international media would report on the activity.

Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar said all the electoral claims made by the parties including jobs, shelters, cheap electricity, food security, and others are directly related to a stable economy.

He said the political parties need to come up with a plan for revenue generation and widening the tax net.

The Prime Minister said that enhanced taxation would also make the government accountable to the masse

About the repatriation of illegal foreign nationals, he said Pakistan has expelled only those with no identity and record and that such individuals would be allowed to return after obtaining valid passports and visas.
