CM Punjab visits residence of Lt. Col Syed Kashif Ali Shaheed at Chaklala

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz visited the residence of Lieutenant Colonel Syed Kashif Ali Shaheed at Chaklala in Rawalpindi and paid homage for his supreme sacrifice for the motherland.

He was martyred in the terrorist attack in Mir Ali Tehsil of North Waziristan.

Talking to the Shaheed’s Mother on this occasion, she said that your brave son made not only you but the entire nation proud.

Terming the brave sons of soil as the iron wall of safety, peace and security of country, the Chief Minister said that the entire nation will remain indebted and grateful for the sacrifices of the martyrs and their families.

Maryam Nawaz also offered fateha for the Shaheed and commiserated with the bereaved family of the martyr.

The Punjab Chief Minister also visited the residence of Captain Ahmed Badar Shaheed and met with parents and family members of the Shaheed.

Minister directs FGEHA management to ensure transparency

Minister for Housing and Works Mian Riaz Hussain Pirzada has said the government prioritizes provision of low-cost and affordable living opportunities for poor and vulnerable segments of society.

He was chairing a meeting of the Federal Government Employees Housing Authority in Islamabad.

The Minister emphasized the importance of ensuring that plots are allocated strictly on merit.

He urged the identification and removal of any irregularities to uphold transparency in the allotment process.

Commerce Minister assures industrialists to address their concerns

Minister for Commerce, Jam Kamal Khan has assured the industrialists of his commitment to safeguard their interests and address their concerns to support the local industry.

He was speaking at the meeting with representatives from the Sugar Mills Association in Islamabad aimed to find feasible solutions to the challenges faced by industrialists.

Jam Kamal vowed to prioritize the issues being faced by sugar mills and pledged to expedite efforts to address these challenges.

The Minister affirmed his continued support for the prosperity and development of industrial sector, underscoring its significance in driving economic progress and enhancing national resilience.

Govt seeking economic consensus with all political parties: Defence Minister

Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif has said government is seeking economic consensus with all political parties to push the country towards economic prosperity.

Talking to a private news channel, he said that it is included in PML-N’s manifesto to give facilities to the interior areas of Punjab, Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and bring them at par with major cities.

The Minister said the government is taking steps to overhaul the fragmented tax system, ensuring businesses pay their tax in time, while also tackling electricity and gas theft to strengthen the economy.

Tripartite agreement signed to revolutionize healthcare delivery

A tripartite agreement has been signed between InfoTech Group,Pakistan, Valyrian Systems, USA and Obeikan Investment Group , Saudi Arabia to revolutionize healthcare delivery.

The agreement was reached during the LEAP 2024 tech conference in Riyadh.

The tripartite agreement aims to introduce digital health platforms, ease integration, enhance global healthcare and usher in a new era of innovation. This initiative is likely to further improve investment in Pakistan’s IT sector.

Pak Army completes dewatering operation in Model School Gwadar

The rescue teams of Pakistan Army have completed the dewatering operation in Model School, Captain Murad Bakhsh Ward Gwadar.

Model High School Gwadar is a historically important school of Balochistan which was established in 1956 in which more than 500 students are studying.

Principal Gwadar Model High School, staff and students thanked the Pakistan Army for their efforts.

On the occasion, the Army also distributed school bags and stationery among the students.

Punjab CM, Iranian Consul General discuss bilateral ties

Consul General of Iran Mehran Mowahid Far called on Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif in Lahore today.

During the meeting, matters related to boosting bilateral relations, enhancing mutual cooperation and expanding mutual exports were discussed.

In the meeting, the Iranian Consul General congratulated Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif on assuming her office and expressed good wishes for the Punjab government and people.

Speaking during the meeting, the Chief Minister thanked the Iranian Consul General and stressed the need of promoting youth culture exchange programs between the two countries.

She said Punjab government wants to enhance agricultural trade with Iran.

Iranian Consul General acknowledged the vision of Maryam Nawaz Sharif for boosting Pak-Iran relations.

Punjab CM approves annual, supplementary budgets grant for year 2023-24

Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has approved annual and supplementary budgets grant for the year 2023-24 of the province.

Chairing a cabinet meeting in Lahore today, she gave approval to build Pakistan’s first IT city in Lahore.

She further instructed to handover Lahore Knowledge Park to Punjab Central Business District Authority and in the knowledge city, major universities from across the globe would be invited to establish campuses.

The Chief Minister also approved the project of supply of 20 thousand electric as well as petrol bikes on easy installments and the distribution of bikes will be started from May this year.

She underlined the necessity of starting the Air Ambulance Project on a trial basis in order to assist patients who reside in remote parts of the province.
