Pak-Afghan Border crossing “Bab-e-Dosti” at Chaman reopened

Pak Afghan Border crossing “Bab-e-Dosti” at Chaman was reopened on Monday for pedestrians and other trade activities.

According to official sources border crossing will remain open from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm pedestrians while it will remain open from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm for trade activities.

Govt spending Rs75m for development of agriculture, livestock, fisheries sectors: CM GB

Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan, Muhammad Khalid Khurshid has said the government is spending 75 million rupees for the development of agriculture, livestock and fisheries sectors.

Addressing the inaugural ceremony of wheat cultivation campaign in Gilgit on Monday, he said the government has formed a steering committee for reforms in the agriculture sector.

He said that special attention is being paid on the promotion of fruit production in Gilgit-Baltistan to boost its exports.

AJK Election Commission decides to hold LG election in three phases

The AJK Election Commission has decided to hold local government election in three phases.

Addressing a press conference in Muzaffarabad on Monday, Chief Election Commissioner AJK, retired Justice Abdur Rasheed Sulehriya said the decision has been taken keeping in view the available strength of the security personnel.

He said the Local Government elections will be held in Muzaffarabad division on 27th of this month, the 3rd of December in Poonch Division and in Mirpur division on 8th of next month.
